There are some additional clubs that teachers are running to help with learning and these will be sent out on class pages.

Don't forget about our music lessons - we have specialist teachers in teaching guitar, keyboard, cello and violin.

Following on from the wonderful brass instrument try outs, you can now sign your child up for brass instrument lessons (starting with the pbuzz version - the plastic version) with Cornwall Music Service Trust here:

There were quite a few interested children and it would be wonderful to get brass teaching happening here at St Catherine's.

Environmental Action at St Catherine’s and Bee Club

At St Catherine’s, we are busy working on projects focused on environmental issues.  We have a pupil Environmental Focus Group who have created litter picking teams, planted trees, set up composting projects and organised ‘bike to school’ weeks and scooter workshops.

Their most exciting project, however, is Bee Keeping.  After winning the Cornwall Association of Primary Heads (CAPH) ‘Think Big’ competition, with their Bee Project proposal, two of our staff team – Nursery Manager Heather Bishop and School Secretary Jo Parish – have become trained bee keepers.

We have two donated bee hives and our Queen Bee and bees arrived in the Spring.
